Whit & Debbie

This is a couple that I love and hate at the same time. Sometime last week Whit’s mom got a hold of me and asked if I could shoot an engagement party and bridal shower in Tyler. The night of the party was just great. Whit & Debbie had flown in from California and everyone was just giddy to see them and meet Debbie. The evening was neat to share with them because it reminded me as a photographer that so much goes into a wedding and the “story” leading up to it is more important than the day itself.

The next day they had the bridal shower and again, it was great to be there and see a real live “bride” in action. Debbie was priceless as she opened each gift. My favorite one was a large tray that she figured could double as a bathroom mirror. All in all the two days were a blast.

The following is the “I hate Whit & Debbie” part.

A few days after the shower Debbie called and said they just loved my work and were trying to cancel the photographer they had booked and would love to fly me out to California for the wedding. That she saw my family on the blog and they were welcome to come. There would be yacht parties, receptions on the Bay and all kinds of San Francisco goodness.

Sounds fun right. Yes it does, if I was not already booked for that date!!!!
The worst part is, after I told Debbie I was already booked, she kept telling me more fun details about the wedding!!

OK, seriously, these two were so much fun to shoot I know that whoever shoots their wedding will have a blast and get some amazing images for them!
